This Privacy Policy explains how HulaHire (“HulaHire”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you use hulahire.com (the “Platform”) as a job seeker (candidate), employer or visitor. By using the Platform you agree to this policy. Please also read our Terms.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, password and account type (candidate or employer).
  • Candidate profile and CV: job title, education, experience, skills, salary expectations, location, photo, CV/resume files, social links and other details you add.
  • Employer information: company name, logo, website, address, contact details, job postings and applicant management data.
  • Applications and messages: job applications, shortlists, interview/meeting details and messages exchanged on the Platform.
  • Payment information: when you buy a package, payment is processed by our payment partner Razorpay. We receive the order and payment status, but we do not store your card, UPI PIN or bank login details.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and cookies used to keep you logged in and improve the Platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account and profile.
  • To show job listings, let candidates apply and let employers review applications.
  • To process package purchases, payments, invoices and refunds.
  • To send important emails such as account verification, password reset, application updates and job alerts you have subscribed to.
  • To keep the Platform safe, prevent fraud and spam, and comply with law.
  • To understand usage and improve our services.

3. Who Can See Your Information

  • Candidate profiles: may be visible on the Platform. Candidate contact details (email, phone, CV download) are shown only to registered employers.
  • Employer profiles and job listings: are public. Employer email addresses are not shown publicly.
  • When you apply for a job, the employer receives your application and the details you shared.

4. Sharing With Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Platform (for example web hosting, email delivery and Razorpay for payments), when required by law or by a government authority, or to protect the rights and safety of HulaHire and its users.

5. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember preferences and measure site usage. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some features (such as login) may not work without them.

6. Data Retention

We keep your information while your account is active and for as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law (for example tax and payment records). You can delete your profile from your dashboard or ask us to delete your account.

7. Your Rights

Subject to applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent for optional communications such as job alerts. Contact us using the details below.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so please keep your password confidential.

9. Children

The Platform is meant for users aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with its effective date.
